Miniature Wargames Magazine No7

Back In the 80s and 90s my work was often featured on the cover and inside of Magazines like "Miniature Wargames" and "Wargames Illustrated"

Issue No 7 of "Miniature Wargames" features Cavalry of the Chasseurs De La Garde, which I painted. The Infantry was influenced by the work of Phil Robinson.

  3. It was pictures like these that still define my sense of wargaming. You, Gilder and the pictures in MacFarlane's mags still impress me every bit as much -- probably more -- than anything since. I have all of these mags but thanks for posting them.
    Cheers,
    Chris

    1. Hello Chris I thought that the old covers and pic,s from the mag,s might be of interest so gradualy we will be posting all the ones that featured my work. Looking at them again brought back so many memories of helping Peter Gilder to set up a lot of these shots while Duncan MacFarlane took the photo,s.

  4. This was the very issue of MW that began it all for me! I still have it, along with the other 11 issues of the first year, and they continue to inspire and inform my own efforts with the paintbrush. Great stuff!

    Best Regards,

    Stokes

  5. That square diorama was one of my favorite pictures in MW magazine. I was new to the hobby and astonished that anyone could do modeling work like that.
