Players includes back row left Mark Freeth , Mike Ingham center back row Dave Docherty front row left, Doug Mason front row center Paul Williamson next to Peter Gilder right front row. This refight was Peter Gilders last wargame, he took the role of Napoleon while Mike Ingham fought as Wellington, myself in the natty pelisse took on the personer of Ney. I think the fight took place in 1995, if anyone can correct me on this please do.

Polish Lancers (French Guard). Figures from the Foremost range (Hinchcliffe Models).
n

1st.Regt. French Guard Lancers (Polish) once in the collection of the W.H.C. now in the London collection of Nick Farrell.

French Guard Lancers going into action. These figures believe it or not are over 30 years old they have just been in my workshop for repairs. This took the form of new and repaired lances, heads, swords and broken horses legs resoldered . The 40 figure unit was amalgamated from two units that were obtained by Peter Gilder in the early 80s., the original unit was painted by Phil Robinson i perhaps our friend from shiney soldiers could put me right if my memory has failed me, the second unit was done by my, over the years the casualties have been removed and eventualy the two units became one. I have repainted the unit so they blend together they were almost the same anyway so it took very little effort the figures were then given a coat of varnish. The end result was very satisfying as the Lancers are back to there original splender. Maybe the older W.H.C. clientel  will remember them.

Murat, Captain Manhe's and Aide De Camp to Murat. The three figures are made from spares box using leftovers from from the Perry's plastic Hussars. A cocked hat was needed so a head from the Victus Old Guard plastic set surficed, the saddle clothes for all the figures were made from Milliput as was fur trim to Captain Manhe's pellise, the rest is a paint job. Iv'e read the pros 's and con's for and against plastic figures and in my opinion there's room for both plastic and metal figures in any gamer's collection, there is in my collection anyway
Murat, Captain Manhe's and Aide De Camp.
